We are excited to announce that the Centre for Biodiversity Conservation Research (CBCR) has joined Wetland Link International (WLI), a global network of wetland education centers dedicated to promoting wetland conservation through education, communication, and public awareness.
WLI supports the development of new wetland education centers and programs, improves existing ones through resource sharing, training, and expertise, and advocates for CEPA programs.
Benefits of Partnership
By joining Wetland Link International (WLI), we gain numerous benefits, including global connections with experts and organizations, capacity building through training and workshops, international recognition and policy influence, access to funding opportunities and resources, collaboration with international experts, and utilization of WLI’s extensive resource library.
Enhancing impact
Joining WLI enables us to enhance our capacity, visibility, and impact, contributing to more effective wetland conservation and sustainable management in Ghana.
We have spent nearly three decades monitoring Ghana’s wetlands, engaging local communities and training citizens in conservation efforts. Our sustained work has preserved habitats, supported climate resilience, and fostered community-led initiatives, ensuring a brighter future for Ghana’s wetlands.
At CBCR, we are committed to protecting Ghana’s vital wetlands and promoting sustainable development. To this end, the collaboration between CBCR and the WLI network seek to safeguard Ghana’s wetlands for both the present and future generations.
